Also known as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (or ADD). ADHD is a very common behavioral diagnosis amongst our school age children and even effecting adults. Since it is a neurological disorder, when there is pressure on the nerve system, the brain creates symptoms in your child such as:
•an inability to concentrate
•easily distracted by noises, pictures etc
•feelings of anxiety
•a lack of short term memory
•an inability to retain factual memory
Common treatment for ADHD is to prescribe Ritalin™ or to give your child anti-psychotic drugs! ADHD is not produced because of a shortage of drugs!
Chiropractic does not treat ADHD! Chiropractic adjustments restore the proper integrity of the nerve system, and the body is able to decrease the symptoms it produces. Some parents find that after getting adjusted that their children sleep better, concentrate better, and perform better in school related activities.
